A night with the four-legged

“We will experience a day in the life of a shelter animal and spend 18 to 24 hours in a kennel with the dogs or in the cattery.”

Non-profit organisation, Feed-the-Furry, is inviting animal lovers to join them at this year’s Sleepathon Challenge.

According to Celeste Vermeulem, the founder of Feed-the-Furry, their aim is to fill every single enclosure, so that none of the furry go to bed alone on Saturday, 7 September.

“We will be supporting the 5th Annual Wollies Sleepathon Challenge 2019 and we want as many people as possible to join us. There are still lots of enclosures available and we would like to fill every single one,” said Celeste.

When asked to explain what the Sleepathon is all about, she said, “We will experience a day in the life of a shelter animal and spend 18 to 24 hours in a kennel with the dogs or in the cattery.”

Feed-the-Furry will also conduct a food drive that will go towards the Sleepathon.

She is urging community members to join her in the Sleepathon or donate animal food.

If anyone is interested in joining the Sleepathon or wants more information on it, they can contact Celeste on 081 408 7724.
