A bookshop fundraiser for animals

The West Rand Book Club held a bookshop fundraiser event on Thursday 12 September at The Friends of Rescued Animals (FORA) Book Shop in Krugersdorp.

The bookshop gladly accepted donations of books and magazines and all proceeds will go to the FORA shelter for animals.

The meeting held by the West Rand Book Club in September last year was a great success in raising funds for the caring animal shelter. The book club also has a stall at President Square in Krugersdorp once a month.

Book readers and animal lovers enjoyed the event and helped themselves to some refreshments prepared for the event.

Organiser Jill Burrows said, “The event is worthy initiative as it helps us to raise funds for the animal shelter and keep it running.”
