Hiking to celebrate Spring
The Florida Hiking and Adventure Club is helping the environment one hike at a time and community members are welcome to join in
Florida Hiking and Adventure Club celebrated the arrival of Spring with a fun and festive bring and braai on 27 August.
The community gathered and enjoyed the day, not only in the company of others but also by participating in the Spring hat competition. There were some weird and wonderful creations.
“The Club meets for a social on the last Tuesday of every month, and there are day hikes on the last Sunday of every month, and weekend hikes each month”, Bill Brough, chairman of the Florida Hiking and Adventure Club said.
The next event will be hosted on 30 September, where they will do a clean-up at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden from 8am. Anyone is welcome to join the group and become a member of the Florida Hiking and Adventure Club.
