I just want to give a huge compliment to our neighbours; Witpoortjie Neigbourhood Watch; 10111 and Roodepoort Police!
So many times we just hear negative things about 10111 and the Police, but today I must say that I applaud these services. On 17 September, we had an armed robbery at about 11.15am. I managed to call 10111 (the phone rang twice and the agent was very professional) and the Roodepoort Police arrived here a few minutes later. The suspects fled but with the assistance of our neighbours and Witpoortjie Neighbourhood Watch all four robbers and the driver of the ‘getaway car’ were arrested. By 5pm the arrests were effected and most of the stolen goods were recovered.
