With this achievement she became the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Junior National Champion and received the South Africa Gymnastics Federation (SAGF) award for the 2016 Gymnast of the Year. In 2017 she competed at her first World Cup Championships, and ended in fifth place.
In 2018, Caitlin reclaimed her title as Senior National Champion and once again received the SAGF award for the 2018 Gymnast of the Year.
This year she has been identified by the South African Gymnastics Federation as an Olympic Hope to participate in the 2020 Olympic Games which will be held in Japan. Caitlin will attend the Olympic Qualifications that will take place in Germany from 27 September to 10 October.
