IIE MSA students host #HearUs campaign for Cradle of Hope
The Public Relations students from IIE MSA will be taking over the Cradle of Hope's social media pages for the next few weeks. This is all in an effort to not only create awareness but also help the organisation gain some new sponsorship.

The Cradle of Hope is a name that is well known, not only in Krugersdorp, not only on the West Rand, but nationally.
Many abused and abandoned women have not only found shelter but a new life and new hope with the Cradle of Hope.
The Public Relations students from the Independent Institution of Education, Monash South Africa (IIE MSA) have been assigned to the Cradle of Hope to develop and execute a three- week communication campaign.
The campaign, called ‘Hear Us’, is running from 23 September to 13 October. During this time, the students will be making use of the Cradle of Hope’s social media pages to create awareness.
The aim of this campaign is to create a database of potential sponsors, which will in turn allow the foundation to not only continue operating but also give the women at the Cradle of Hope a ‘hand up and not a hand out’, as Melodie van Brakel, the founder, would say.
During these three weeks, the public is urged to keep an eye on the organisation’s social media pages and the #HearUs campaign where the stories of some of the women might shed light on the problems that these women face.
The students will also be hosting two free self-defence classes at the IIE MSA campus. These classes will be taking place on 5 and 12 October, from 11am to 1pm at Peter Road in Ruimsig. Anyone who wants to join in is welcome to attend.
