Roodepoort CPF calling on community members to join Sector Crime Forum
The positions are for volunteers who will work side by side with the police

The community is encouraged to attend a meeting that aims to elect new Community Policing Forum (CPF) members. The members will form part of a new Sector Crime Forum (SCF) for the Roodepoort CBD.
Chairman of the Roodepoort CPF, Petrus Lehaiwa, is encouraging the community to take a stand against crime, and the only way to so is through active participation. ”The people in the streets are feeling the brunt of the crime. I hope the people turn up in numbers to show their support for the CPF and partner with the police to fight the scourge of crime,” said Lehaiwa.
The positions for new members are open to any South African citizen over 18 who lives in Roodepoort. ”Any law-abiding citizen with any level of education can join. All you need is to be passionate about making Roodepoort a safer place” stressed Lehaiwa.
The meeting will be held at the Roodepoort City Hall in Berlandina Street, Roodepoort and begins at 6pm, today, 7 November. The positions are for volunteers who will work in conjunction with the police to assist the people of the Roodepoort CBD in dealing with crime.
Societies thrive when citizens are active and only the people can take back their streets.
