
Arrests have been made in the case of the woman who was found dead in the veld between Fleurhof and Meadowlands, on 4 November. Two teenagers have been charged with murder and rape.
The two male suspects, both aged 16, were arrested after Warrant Officer Adrian van der Werken of the Florida Detective Unit responded to a tip-off from the community.

Florida Police’s spokesperson, Sergeant Mpho More, has confirmed developments as follows: “The swift response of the police led to the arrests of two minors for the case of murder and rape. They are appearing in court today”.
Station commander at Florida Police Station, Colonel Mulligan, thanked the members for a job well done. The community’s role in assisting with the arrests cannot be understated. Police are urging the community to continue to share information with the police in order to fight crime and bring criminals to justice.
