
The fast-approaching festive season has seen Honeydew Police fully determined to reduce crime in their area of jurisdiction.
From 4 to 11 November, 55 suspects were apprehended for various crimes in the area.
Among the offences, according to Honeydew Police spokesperson, Captain Balan Muthan, were rape; drunken driving; shoplifting; possession of hijacked motor vehicle; assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm; sexual assault; and selling liquor without a licence.
Muthan further indicated that all the suspect would appear or had appeared in various courts of law.
