The word of the day for 14 November is: Live
To ‘live’ is to spend one’s life in a particular way or under particular circumstances.
There is a difference between being alive and living. The stress of life gets to a lot of people and stops us from enjoying things we used to, and from trying new things. It should not be that way – we need to take a breather and live; not just be alive.
There is a beautiful quote by an unknown author that describes three things that cannot be recovered in life.
“There are three things you cannot recover in life: the word after it’s said, the moment after it’s missed, and the time after it’s gone.”
While we all make mistakes, we can’t hold them against ourselves or others. We cannot go back and redo a moment, and if you give up an opportunity, there may not be another one.
We can’t live life with regrets and resentments, we need to forgive others for their mistakes and forgive ourselves for our own. We can’t live without love, without a little fun, without trust, hope or without a purpose.
Max Lucado said, “We should love unquenchably, dream unfalteringly, and work unceasingly.”
