Feed the Furry back on feeding track

It was unfortunate that the bad weather conditions experienced on Saturday 8 February prevented a planned food drive, however it has been moved to this coming Saturday 15 February.

After clearing a few stumbling blocks, Feed the Furry is finally back for some more much-needed shelter action this year.

The non-profit company carried out a food drive on Saturday, 2 February during which they visited animal shelters and donated much-needed animal food.

“Keep an eye out for some updates on our food drives, and feel free to suggest some more shelters for future food drives. Let’s feed some hungry fur babies,” said Founder of Feed the Fury, Celeste Vermeulen.

It was unfortunate that the strong weather conditions experienced on Saturday, 8 February prevented a planned food drive, however it has been moved to this coming Saturday 15 February.

“We had two great food drives in the last two weeks and managed to hand over 100kg of food to Friends of Rescued Animals (FORA) at their event on 2 February. I also got to see my favourite little Daisy,” said Celeste.

Feed the Fury went on to hand over 75kg of food to Place A Pup Foster Foundation, and the public is urged to keep an eye on their Facebook page for their food drive to Paws R Us SA.

Members of the community who would like to donate towards the food drives are advised to visit https://www.backabuddy.co.za/fsd.

Alternatively, if you want to donate your own food, blankets, old clothing and newspapers, you are welcome to do so. Celeste can be contacted on 081 408 7724 or via email at info@feed-the-furry.org.za.
