Six children struck by car in Cosmo City

Six children were treated for minor to moderate injuries after they were struck by a light motor vehicle on Tanzania Road in Cosmo City on Tuesday, 18 February.

ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, said that ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before 8am to find the Provincial EMS already on scene.

“On assessment, medics found that six children had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene,” he said.

“The children were treated for their injuries and were later transported to a provincial hospital for further care,” he added.

He also mentioned that the driver of the light motor vehicle escaped injury.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
