Dellieland Preschool gets safety talk from Florida Police

After enjoying the activities for the day, Sergeant Mpho More from Florida Police Station gave a safety talk to all children and the parents.

Members of the Florida Police Station entertained the Grade R learners from the Dellieland Preschool at their fun sports day.

The children participated in various athletics activities and tackled the set-out obstacle courses. Learners were dressed up in different costumes, which varied from fairies to Paw Patrol themed outfits. Not only the learners partook in the activities, all the parents competed against each other as the children paraded the sport field.

Afterwards Sergeant Mpho More from Florida Police Station gave a safety talk to all children and the parents, emphasising the safety of children in public places.

“Parents must always know where their children are. Children must not throw tantrums at the shops, and must walk next to their mother or the guardian at all times. They should learn to scream if a stranger wants to give them a treat. They must not play far from home, and learn to respect themselves, their teachers and their peers, and their parents at home,” More concluded.
