With the global Covid-19 pandemic and resulting nationwide lockdown, the Witpoortjie Library could not play host to the monthly meeting of the Witpoortjie Performing Arts Youth Movement.
These sessions became very popular with the community, and used to be hosted every last Wednesday of the month. They give a platform to all young artists to showcase their talents, ranging from reciting poetry, singing, dancing and acting.
But, the young performers did not allow this stumbling block to cramp their style, and they decided to go online to host a show in an attempt not only to keep the community entertained, but to continue with their meetings.
