Two injured in Robertville accident

Two people sustained serious injuries during a collison between a truck and light motor vehicle in Robertville this afternoon, 21 May.
According to Russel Meiring, the ER24 spokesperson, the truck crashed into the side of the light motor vehicle at the Main Reef Road and Granville Avenue intersection.
“ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene shortly after 1.15pm to find the two vehicles in the middle of the road. A man and woman, both believed to be in their 30s, were found seated inside the light motor vehicle.
Medics assessed them and found that both had sustained numerous injuries, leaving them in a serious condition. They were treated for their injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before being transported to nearby hospitals for further care,” Meiring said.
The cause of the collision is not yet known, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
