Maragon Ruimsig held its annual Mini-Netball Moms and Ladies Tea at the school on Saturday, 16 February with moms (and some dads) spending the morning with their little girls.
This special event began with a netball clinic, which was held in the school hall due to the rainy weather conditions. It was presented by Marelise Lombard, Maragon’s Head of Sports for the Foundation Phase. Fun games were played, where the girls, moms and even dads were taught techniques and skills pertaining to the game.
The fun continued for the families by using this special time of family bonding to allow the participants to bring out their inner creative sides. Armed with glue, scissors and loads of glitter, the birthday card making began.
Special moments were shared between all the moms and their little ones and fantastic, laughter-filled memories were made. One of Maragon’s moms even said, “I have so many pictures of my daughter and her dad doing fun things, but now I have some special memories of my own”.
