A joint operation consisting of Muldersdrift Police, and its Community Policing Forum (CPF) and patrollers, plus various security companies sent a strong message to people who aren’t abiding by the laws of this country.
One of the security companies that was involved in the operation is BCI Security. Its operations manager, Dan Belcher, said they targeted a few problem areas that were identified and included in their planning.

“At each of the locations, the operational plan was executed without any problems and led to good successes,” he said.
Those successes included:
* 20 illegal immigrants arrested
* 1 illegal shebeen closed down and alcohol confiscated
* dagga plants removed from a small plantation

* 1 Somalian shop closed down for selling prescription medication, fireworks and goods for human consumption that had expired in 2018
* 1 kitten rescued after it was found locked in the back of a bakkie with a cargo canopy. It had no food or water and was close to death due to heat exhaustion
“The Operation ended at 8pm and there were no reports of injuries among any of the members,” Belcher concluded.
