According to Colonel Andre de Klerk of the Sandton Police four suspects allegedly followed a resident to their bank and robbed the resident of R150 000.
They fled the scene in an Audi A3 and were spotted traveling on the N3 highway.
At the N3 North and N1 split a shooting incident occurred between the suspects and a motorist, which police suspect was an attempted hijacking.
The suspects fled the scene in the direction of Fourways.
