Miracle baby Hayley has passed away

Sandton Chronicle recently published the story of baby Hayley who was described as a ‘miracle’. Her parents wanted to believe that she could unite people in prayer and a Facebook page, A Test of Faith, was set up to keep the public updated on her progress.

Unfortunately, on 18 April, Miracle baby Hayley, passed away.

Pieter Meyer, Hayley’s father, took to the public Facebook page to say, “I am so sorry to inform all of you but tonight on 18 April, my little princess passed away. Her body was taking on a lot of pressure and God came to take her home. Me, as a first time daddy, I am broken. She was only 550 grams and 30cm and God gave her to us… She restored me and my wife’s faith.”

Shelbe Pretorius, one of the residents who followed baby Hayley’s progress, wrote a message to Hayley’s family on Facebook, “We have never met, but I have been following your journey with Hayley and have been praying for your family religiously every day. I woke up this morning in hopes of another positive post on Hayley’s progress and was in disbelief when I read she had passed away.”

Meyer also wrote, “Just want to say thank you so much for all the messages and continuous support.”
