Toys R Us launched their second TRUper competition in November which aims to highlight the importance of children doing good deeds in the school environment.
Mazvita Chipuriro of Buccleuch Primary School and Camsey April of Bryanston Primary School were amongst the winners in the third week of the competition, each going home with a Toys R Us voucher.

Through the competition, aspirant children from participating schools across the country are acknowledged and rewarded for displaying good etiquette.
Schoolchildren and teachers are encouraged to nominate children exhibiting exemplary qualities who are also recognised as role models by their peers.
Each school is requested to select a child who exemplifies the qualities of a do-gooder each week for the duration of the four-week competition.
Marketing manager at Toys R Us South Africa, Nicole Annells said, “The competition recognises and rewards exceptional behaviour and deeds, no matter how large or small they may be, to emphasise the importance of being a good person.
“It encourages children to make a positive impact in their own little way while allowing their peers to recognise their fine qualities and actions.”
Mazvita, who is in Grade 7 at Buccleuch Primary, was described by her school as a caring, charitable and generous young lady who is loyal and committed to the school and her peers.

Camsey, who attends Bryanston Primary, was nominated for being helpful on a daily basis to both staff and her peers and a true example of service above self.
Both girls were nominated by teachers at their respective schools for the competition. They will both be entered into the final leg of the competition, where they stand the chance to win a Nintendo Switch.
