Leading men of DSTv charm Johannesburg audience

The leading men of reality shows Animal Planet, Discovery Networks and TLC were invited to introduce their new shows for next year.

The launch was hosted at The Venue in Rivonia and attendees were able to mingle with the celebrities on the rooftop overlooking Johannesburg.

The stars of the event were Ben Hanlin of Magic of Science; Kim Wolhuter of Man, Cheetah, Wild; Dave Salmoni of Deadly Islands; Joel Lambert of Manhunt and Randy Fenoli famous for Say yes to the Dress.

Sneak peeks of the upcoming shows were revealed to the audience who were then introduced to the stars.

Guests had the opportunity to be digitally transformed to be part of the reality shows, Hamlin treated the audience to a magic trick on stage with the assistance of Lambert and there was a riveting performance by beat boxer Morgan Beatbox and dance crew Visual Noise.

Senior vice-president of Emerging Business Discovery Networks, James Gibbons said the launch of the new dedicated high definition Discovery Channel was an important milestone for their services in Africa and represented their “continued commitment to offering viewers the best, high quality programming experience possible”.
