Supporters and fans of Liebenberg’s work gathered at the shopping centre to have their copy of the book autographed.
She said the central theme is about how a supermom meets a problem child, and then it’s up to the reader to figure out which one of the two is really lost.
Liebenberg added, “The book is a story about boyhood, about motherhood, about what binds families, the past to the present, about suffocation and deliverance. It is at once a stinging satirical slap across the face of barren suburbia and a poignant hymn to the extraordinary beauty in ordinary lives.”
