RAPULA MODUBU: It means a lot because it's a day where we all come together in Africa and we're all standing together.

PETE MOHALE: “It’s important to embrace your culture and background.

TSHOLOFELO MOJOIWA: It’s a good way to learn about other people’s culture and understand the different ways we all live.

PERCY MKHIZE: The day is a way for us to remember our culture and, simply, celebrate it.

SIPHO MOLOHLANYI: It’s all about celebrating and embracing all cultures.

TERRANCE DOOSI: A public holiday for everyone.

Tira Ralekwa said, “Heritage day means knowing where you are, and where you are going.”

THAMI CHARLES: Heritage Day is very important because even though you know where you are, it’s very important to recognise where you come from.

SPARKS SHIPAKULE: It’s a cultural day that everyone needs to celebrate.

ALEX MAPHAMOLO: For me it means unity. Every year we celebrate it as a chance for us to grow closer as a country.
