Teboho Theoha: First of all, I think the proceedings were a waste of time because of the ANC’s majority in Parliament. A vote of no confidence will never pass against our not so esteemed leader. Jacob Zuma has stocked Parliament with his yes men rendering one of the most critical institutions in our democracy impotent. The opposition, notably lacking the EFF, argued in circles, exposing their own deficiencies. It seems that not even an economic meltdown is enough to unravel the moral bankruptcy of the ruling party.
Caleb Pillay: I think the majority were trying to defend their guilt.
Gareth van Wyngaard: I think they just wasted their time simply just accusing each other of things. [President Jacob Zuma] is just milking the country of all its money, nothing much more to say about it, it’s all just corrupt.
Kim Maritz: Our God is bigger than anything and I believe that the majority of South Africans are working extremely hard to make our country work. Good will always prevail over evil in the end.
