Kings of Chaos hit Sandton
SANDTON - The Kings of Chaos congregated with an alliance of die-hard music fans and journalists to chat about their upcoming Johannesburg shows at Primedia House in Sandton on 26 November.

The Super Group, which was founded in 2012 by former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum, hosts a rotating cast of rock royalty from bands such as Deep Purple and Def Leppard. Joining Sorum at the Sandton press conference was Rock ‘n’ Roll legends Gilby Clarke (Guns N’ Roses), Duff Mckagan (Guns N’ Roses), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) and Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme) who spoke about their upcoming shows at the Sun City Superbowl on 29 and 30 November, and gave members of the press the opportunity to chat about the music and share some amazing rock ‘n’ roll anecdotes.
Though special guests Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and Robin Zander of Cheap Trick were absent, the conference was nothing short of an awesome event, giving all in attendance the chance to experience the dynamic and wild personalities who will be rocking South African audiences in November and December.
Legendary ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons, who calls the show ‘The Collision of Enthusiasm’, said, “I see these guys and we never get to hang out, so this show is a very special moment.”
The show will see the super group play some classic rock ‘n’ roll, covering iconic songs from their respective bands, which Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt described as a great experience.
Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke said, “I’m just, like the rest of the guys, excited to play some great music. We’ve all grown up with most of these songs and they’ve stood the test of time. So rock ‘n’ roll is alive and well in Johannesburg.”
