Guests were treated to a cowboy-themed event of music, food, and drinks by Antonella Tuscan Tiramisu Cream Liqueur, before the movie was screened.
The film is based on the bestselling novel by master storyteller Nicholas Sparks who also produced Notebook, Dear John and Best Of Me. The movie centres on the star-crossed love affair between Luke, played by Scott Eastwood, and Sophia, played by Britt Robertson.
In the movie, Luke is a former champion bull rider looking to make a comeback, and Sophia is a college student who is about to embark on her dream job in New York City’s art world.
As conflicting paths and ideals test their relationship, Sophia and Luke make an unexpected and fateful connection with Ira, played by actor Alan Alda, whose memories of his own decades-long romance with his beloved wife deeply inspire the young couple.
Spanning generations and two intertwining love stories, The Longest Ride explores the challenges and infinite rewards of enduring love.
The movie was released in South African cinemas nationwide on 17 April.
