A market to keep you entertained this festive season

Bryanston Market at Michael Mount is known for its popular and not-to-be-missed year-end Moonlight Markets. The cosy and festive atmosphere invites the entire family to a wholesome entertainment filled with excitement, wonder and the joys of Christmas.

The Moonlight Markets will take place from 19 November to 17 December, each Tuesday evening from 5pm to 9pm. There is an entrance fee of R20 per adult with children under 12 entering free. Tickets can be bought at the entrance.

A Children’s Theatre takes centre stage from 6pm to 7pm, with a Jesting Juggler, a charming Puppet Show, Carols by Candlelight and Sergio’s Magic Show to captivate and enchant the children. “Meanwhile, the grown-ups will be entertained by a selection of buskers flowing through the market and live music in the tea garden throughout the evening,” said Marlen Bohn, organiser of the Moonlight Markets.

A wide range of hand-crafted Christmas gifts, decorations and festive foods are on offer. With new and regular traders in attendance, visitors will experience a creative and inspiring marketspace that can be shared with family and friends. Enjoy leisurely shopping in a festive outdoor environment away from the frenzy of the shopping malls.

A collection of children’s activities entices children to get involved with their creative talents. On offer are candle making, fairy crafting, wooden toy painting, T-shirt painting, bead and wire crafting, face painting and the creation of an advent garden. Coupons for the various activities can be obtained at the entrance.

“Loads of delicious snacks, meals and desserts awaken your taste buds and tempt you to enjoy supper under the stars to the accompaniment of great music. Come and share the magical and festive fun of our Moonlight Markets,” concluded Bohn.
