Number 1: City of Joburg to introduce SMS notification for municipal statements during lockdown period

The City of Johannesburg announced on 15 April that the statements of customers who have signed up to their e-services and those who receive their municipal statements via email and or Post Office will now also be sent through SMS notification.

 

Number 2: Backlog of reinstatements cause crisis

Delays in reinstatements by City entity, the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA), has left residents and ward councillors at a loss.

Johannesburg Water has dug up pavements and roadsides and in most cases, the tar, curbing or paving needs to be reinstated.

 

Number 3: Resident angered by poor state of roads in Gallo Manor

Gallo Manor resident, Gill Levy is angered by the poor state of a number of roads in the area.

After numerous calls to the Johannesburg Roads Agency, Levy contacted the Sandton Chronicle in an effort to find a solution.
