The awards are a Student Village initiative that recognise brands that have made a positive impact and contributed to the lives of South Africa’s youth. Blackberry has won the award for the fourth year in a row.
Student Village CEO, Ronen Aires said, “The Blackberry brand has definitely asserted their dominance in the South African student market. This is why this year it is once again the smartphone of choice for this market.”
The awards are based on research conducted nationwide via campus surveys and focus groups.
Other winners were Unilever for the Best Graduate Recruitment Campaign, Mountain Dew for the OMG! Award, Anglo American for the Most Aspirational Graduate Employer and Estee Lauder won the Out of the Box Award. The WTF award went to Axe, the biggest social conscience award went to 5fm’s Young Blood campaign and the social media superstar award went to Miller Genuine.
“These awards certainly showcase the strong focus that is being placed on youth marketing locally and the race to win this market over,” added Aires. Details: Student Village; www.studentvillage.co.za.
