Thieves gain entry to two businesses

TWO business break-ins took place, one in Illovo and the other in Sandhurst.

Bramley police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said a man discovered his laptop was missing and his computer screen in his office in Illovo . “He looked around the office and found that the reception room window was broken into,” said Maphakela. He said R50 000 worth of office equipment had been stolen.

In Sandhurst, a woman reported a break-in after she arrived at the office to find that office equipment was missing. “It appears access was gained through the window,” said Maphakela. He said R1 500 worth of office equipment was stolen and that fingerprints were obtained from the scene of the crime.

“We are appealing to business owners to intensify their security measures as we are approaching the festive season,” said Maphakela.
