Spokesperson for the Bramley police, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said there had been four reported cases of robberies which have taken place at that corner. “We are working day and night to find the culprits,” added Maphakela. “Motorists must keep their doors locked and their windows closed. Those who travel regularly in that area must be extra cautious because the suspects even use firearms to intimidate the drivers.”
The police are looking for two men as suspects, one of them is dark in complexion and medium height. The other suspect is tall and appears to be in his 30s. He said the suspects usually operated on Thursdays and Fridays between 4pm and 7pm.
“They use spark plugs as well to intimidate motorists. They take cellphones, jewellery, laptops and anything else that is valuable from the car,” added Maphakela.
