By-elections kick-off at George Lea Park
SANDTON - Anthony Still and Joy Coplan will battle it out to be the next Ward 90 councillor.

The Ward 90 by-elections kicked off on 13 August at George Lea Park. The voting station opened at 7am and will close at 9pm. It was a slow morning with a few voters who arrived from various areas in Parkmore and Hurlingham.
Ward 103 councillor Vincent Earp said the results are expected to be released by the Independent Electoral Committee (IEC) on 14 August.
“I hope residents turn up and cast their votes,” said Parkmore resident, Vicky Marsh.
“It is important that we exercise our democratic right to vote,” said Hurlingham resident, Lynn McLeod.
Bertha Ludolphi from Parkmore added, “I’m feeling inspired that with these by-elections we can bring a change to our community. We need to stop all this crime in our area.”
Residents that have registered to vote need to go to the polling station in their area and bring their ID.
