Youth leader leaves his mark

MORNINGSIDE - Resident Zareef Minty has made it on the Mail & Guardian 2014 Top 200 Young South Africans list.

The 20-year-old Patriotic Alliance (PA) youth president was ecstatic about his achievement.

“In previous years Julius Malema, Pule Mabe and many other prominent people came from this list,” said Minty.

He added, “I am extremely excited to be on this list and my next goal when it comes to achievements and lists would be making the Forbes Africa most influential young people list.”

He joined Ward 102 councillor, David Potter in the politics and government category.

The publication’s supplement showcases young leaders who are considered to be shaping the country’s future.

Minty attended the celebratory event with the likes of DJ Sbu and radio and television personality, Pabi Moloi.
