Theatre extravaganza to aid guide dogs
SANDTON - The South African Guide Dogs Association for the Blind, based in Paulshof, will be hosting their Gala Variety Concert on 24 August.

The concert will take place at Auto and General Theatre on the Square in Sandton.
The annual event draws together the finest entertainers for a music and comedy extravaganza. There will be two shows, one at 3pm and another at 6.30pm. The star-studded line-up will be truly historic this year as there are more leading performers taking part than ever before. The stars of the show have given of their time and talents free of charge and the entire proceeds of tickets sales will benefit the association.
To add to the generous spirit, Daphne Kuhn, director of Theatre on the Square will be hosting the event, including all amenities and services pro bono. Some of the stars who will be performing in the shows are renowned theatre artists, Samantha Peo, Keith Smith and Carly Graeme, and film actress, Fiona Ramsay. Comedians, Mark Banks and Michael de Pinna, of Yebo Gogo fame will also take to the stage and singers, Cat Simone, Timothy Moloi, Cito and Des and Dawn Lindberg will serenade the audience. Live music will be provided by the Sandton Jazz quartet.
There will also be a raffle on the night with a new car as first prize.
