Women in business step up their style
ILLOVO - Fine Women Business Network held their last networking breakfast for the year in Illovo.
Businesswomen from various sectors attended the session hosted by Taryn Laing, founder of Fine Women Business Network. The talk on inspiring confidence was led by motivational speaker and image consultant, Petra Laranjo who equips women with tools on how to not only feel confident but exude confidence outwardly.
“Don’t get stuck in your head, get to know you,” she told guests at the networking breakfast.
Shelley Walters, an executive speech coach and international speaker who led the previous networking session, was also in attendance.
The breakfast network meetings are aimed at ensuring that the women who attend, make an investment towards their respective businesses by meeting new contacts and developing new relationships and synergies with fellow networkers.
Laranjo engaged women on issues concerning the role personal style has in contributing to one’s level of confidence in business interactions. The women spoke about business wear, make-up and jewellery, as well as the how a good pair of heels can improve one’s look.
Laing told her guests she was looking forward to next year in which more of the networking sessions will take place and more speakers will share their expertise with other women.
