Brescia House School rejoices in matric results

BRYANSTON - Brescia House School is proud of their 2014 matriculants who have achieved exceptional final exam results.

The school has achieved a 100 percent pass rate as well as a 100 percent university entrance rate.

Deputy headmistress of Brescia House School, Gail Jacobs said, “We are delighted with the results and congratulate our matric girls on their hard work, commitment and well-deserved results.”

Lindsay Fyffe, Nicole Rochefort Rennie and Nandi Sekonya were the top three pupils of the school with six distinctions each.

Fyffe obtained her six distinctions in Accounting, Afrikaans, English, Life Orientation, Life Sciences and Mathematics. Helga Bishop from the school said Fyffe approaches her life with a determination that is reflected in her academic performance. “We wish this young woman every success and happiness in the future,” said Bishop. The school is also particularly proud of Fyffe, whose research paper was recently presented at an international conference in Germany.

Rochefort Rennie obtained six distinctions in Afrikaans, Business Studies, French, Life Orientation, Mathematics and Physical Sciences. She was also the school’s deputy head girl. “Our best wishes for a happy and successful future accompany this talented and poised young woman,” added Bishop.

Sekonya obtained her distinctions in English, French, isiZulu, Life Orientation, Life Sciences and Mathematics. She obtained full academic colours in this year and last year. “Nandi has a strong drive to succeed and her fine mind and sense of humour have endeared her to her teachers and her peer group,” explained Bishop. “We wish her every success and happiness in the future.”

Megan Hardie, Rebecca Meeser, Bianca Scheffer and Clare Snaddon all obtained five distinctions in their respective subjects.

Wandile Dlamini obtained four distinctions in English, Geography, Mathematics and Visual Arts. Dlamini has achieved some remarkable feats with her public speaking and debating talents. She received full colours for her public speaking this year.
