Shaping the future for entrepreneurial talent
SANDTON - The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation is offering individuals that show potential in entrepreneurial talent an opportunity to develop.

The foundation exists to identify, support and develop talented young South Africans who have the potential to become high impact responsible entrepreneurs and make a valuable difference to the social and economic fabric of South Africa.
Participants interested in the opportunity can apply for the university fellowship. The foundation opened this opportunity for Grade 12 pupils and first-year university students from 19 January.
Anthony Farr, chief executive officer of the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation, said: “The foundation invests in a long-term legacy of greatness through inspiring and developing individuals who will become high impact, responsible entrepreneurs who are capable of shaping and transforming the future of Southern Africa.”
Applications are open to current Grade 12 pupils and close on 30 April. Applications are open to current first-year university students and will close on 31 August.
The foundation supports degrees in the fields of commerce, engineering and science (excluding medicine), law or humanities (majoring in politics, philosophy or economics). Only candidates furthering their education at the following universities can apply:

•TSiBA (2nd Year intake)
•Stellenbosch University
•University of Johannesburg
•University of Pretoria
•WITS University
•Rhodes University
•Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University
•University of the Free State (2nd Year intake)
With the foundation’s firm belief that a solid education is the starting point for any entrepreneurial journey, the fellowship opportunity provides candidates with access to a community of like-minded individuals, exposure to thought leaders, mentorship, entrepreneurial mind-set development and full university funding.
