Driving instructor attacked and robbed in Marlboro

MARLBORO - A driving instructor was left reeling after being attacked and robbed in Marlboro.

The incident took place in Marlboro Gardens when according to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela of the Bramley Police Station, two suspects approached the instructor who was standing outside of his vehicle while instructing his client during a driving lesson.

“According to the complainant, one of the suspects grabbed him from behind and threatened him with a knife before demanding valuables from him,” he said.

A scuffle ensued between the two and in the meantime another suspect was allegedly searching the car, and managed to make off with a navigator device.

Maphakela said no arrests had been made.
