BRYANSTON - Following the discovery of the body of a Grade 10 Bryanston High School pupil hanging from a tree at St Stithians College in Bryanston, the deputy principal is saddened by the death of the 16-year-old boy.
Andy Crighton, the deputy principal of Bryanston High School, said the loss was unexpected. He said the incident is being investigated by the police and the circumstances at this time are unknown.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss of a young life, and our thoughts and prayers are with the boy’s family and friends,” said Crighton. “Bryanston High School expresses its appreciation to the St Stithians College staff who have been involved in responding to this tragedy.”
Crighton also added that the management of the school, together with the psychologist, have already arranged counselling for pupils and educators needing support to cope during this difficult time.
“Bryanston High School strongly urges the media to respect the privacy of the family and friends who are currently dealing with an incredible loss,” he added.
