
The news was brought forward by public relations manager at Primedia Broadcasting, Pippa Rowles, who said that Naidoo was at a family friend’s home to pick up his daughter when three armed suspects approached the homeowner in the driveway.
Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Tsekiso Mofokeng confirmed the robbery which occurred at 6.30pm on 27 August in Bryanston.
Mofokeng said that while the homeowners were unpacking their car, three armed suspects approached them in the driveway.
He added, “The suspects pushed the complainants into the house and, with the other occupants, locked them in the kitchen before stealing an unconfirmed amount of items.”
They also took Naidoo’s cellphone, laptop and iPad.
He said that while the three suspects were in the house, the homeowner pressed the panic button which alerted the authorities and the suspects fled the scene. No one was injured.
“At this moment, we are still investigating the situation and appeal to the community to assist with information with regards to the incident,” said Mofokeng.
