This according to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Sandton police, who said after the victims’ car stopped, the suspects ambushed them and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The vehicle, however, was not stolen.
“The two male victims in the car were critically injured and later taken to hospital for treatment,” added Maphakela.
A case of armed robbery and attempted murder has been opened with Sandton police, however, no arrests have been made as yet.
Maphakela urged anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and report it at Sandton Police Station.
