Seven injured in collision

WOODMEAD - A taxi has collided with a bakkie on the corner of Maxwell Drive and Old Pretoria Main Road in Woodmead.

The accident occurred just before 7am on May 10. Emer-G-Med paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a taxi had T-boned a bakkie and the damage was quite extensive. It is alleged that the bakkie turned in front of the taxi, causing the accident.

Emer-G-Med spokesperson, Max Cohen stated that seven people were injured, with one patient requiring Advanced Life Support. Once the patients had been stabilised on-scene, they were transported to various nearby hospitals for further medical care.

Local authorities were investigating further.
