The City of Joburg’s Region E will conduct the next round of Jozi@Work programme public meetings at the Sankopano Community Centre on 2 June from 9am to 3pm.
Other venues will be the Malboro Community Hall on 31 May and the Klipfontein Multi Purpose Centre, Klipfontein on 1 June.
The programme’s objective is to accelerate socio-economic empowerment, a culture of entrepreneurship and work opportunities through entrepreneurial skills development and experiential training for start-ups, small businesses, micro businesses and co-operatives so that they can become fully-fledged businesses able to stand on their own.
The City said the programme had, since its inception in 2014, created more than 664 job opportunities and supported 90 co-operatives.
