Domestic watch meetings for August
SANDTON – Domestic Watch will host a series of meetings in Sandton on various types of abuse.

Domestic Watch, founded by Penny Steyn, will host a series of meetings in Sandton dealing with various types of abuse.
A speaker from LifeLine Ekurhuleni will present lessons predominantly focusing on emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, financial and economical abuse and domestic violence.
LifeLine Ekurhuleni has been assisting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault since 2010 within the Ikhayalethemba Shelter. Their awareness creation programmes are aimed at sensitising communities on issues relating to gender-based violence and prevention mechanisms.
The meetings will take place on the following dates:
- Bryanston at St Michaels Church on 18 August at 11.30am
- Bryanston and Rivonia at Christian Science Church on 19 August at 12.00pm
- Gallo Manor and Morningside Manor at the Gallo Manor Community Centre on 25 August at 10.00am
- Hurlingham at Rosebank Union Church on 30 August at 10.00am
- Gallo Manor and Wendywood at Christ Church Sandton on 24 August at 11.30am
- Morningside at the police station lapa on 24 August at 1.30pm.
