Three people injured in car chase

WENDYWOOD – Three people were injured when a suspected hijacked vehicle T-boned another vehicle.

According to Colonel Lungelo Dlamini, spokesperson for the police, the Johannesburg flying Squad spotted a white Hyundai Accent turning into Darwin street and a pursuit ensued.

“The car failed to stop at the T-junction and collided with three vehicles.” The vehicle was hijacked and the suspect was arrested, said Dlamini.

Three people have injured in a serious collision on the corner of Bowling and Luderick in Wendywood after a suspected hijacked vehicle hit another vehicle.

Max Cohen, spokesperson for Emer-G-Med said, “Paramedics arrived on the scene minutes later found that the suspect and two members of the public sustained moderate injuries. They were treated at the scene before being transported to nearby hospitals.”

“The suspected hijacker was transported by another private ambulance service under police guard.” said Cohen.

There is ongoing crime scene investigations and motorists can expect heavy delays.
