
Sandton residents and businesses are invited to attend an important Public Community Meeting to be hosted by the Sandton Community Policing Forum and the South African Police Services (Saps) at the Pool Pavilion, Johannesburg Country Club, Woodmead on 2 November at 6.00pm.

The main topic on the agenda will be the recently released Annual Crime Statistics for the 2015/2016 reporting year, which were released in Parliament by the Saps on 2 September.
The crime statistics reporting period runs from last year April to 31 March of this year. The presentation from the police will include absolute crime numbers, crime rates and crime trends.
Sandton Community Police Forum chairperson, Anthony Modena will open proceedings, which will begin at 6pm sharp on 2 November.

Community policing focuses on the partnership between residents, communities, police and Metro police, security companies, ward councillors and the City of Joburg. The police, communities and all stakeholders work together and support one another for the benefit of all, to build a safer and stronger South Africa.
