Sandton-based schoolchildren enjoy the largest inter-schools night challenge

SANDTON – Montrose School recently hosted the Montrose Night Series finals for cricket and netball.

Montrose School hosted the largest inter-schools night challenge in the country, the Montrose Night Series finals.

The event included cricket and netball and featured U13 cricket as well as U11 and open netball.

It was a fun challenge set for the youth in Sandton and surrounding areas and gave schoolchildren the opportunity to participate in the only inter-primary school day and night challenge of its kind.

The event began at the end of January.

This year, the open netball team did exceptionally well and came in third place.

The best open goal shooter award went to Samantha Sher and the best U11 attacker award went to Morgan Noach.
