Three people injured in accident on the N3 northbound near Marlboro Drive off-ramp
SANDTON – Three people were injured in an accident that took place on 16 May on the N3 northbound.

Netcare 911 responded to a serious accident in which three people were injured on the N3 northbound near the Marlboro Drive off-ramp on 16 May.
Nick Dollman, media liaison for Netcare said, “Paramedics found that a bakkie had collided with a small truck that had allegedly broken down alongside the highway.
“The driver of the bakkie had sustained several serious injuries and was in a very serious condition and was placed on a ventilator at the scene.”
Dollman said the driver of the bakkie was trapped in the crumpled bakkie and firefighters of the City of Johannesburg used specialised rescue equipment to free the man from the wreckage.
The 48-year-old man was airlifted to a hospital.

“Two people from the other vehicle were also injured, however, they were in a stable condition and were transported to a hospital for further medical care,” said Dollman.
This incident was attended to by several ambulance services, the fire department and Metro police.
