Caxton Joburg North sends donations to Knysna
SANDTON – Caxton JHB North collected two 4-ton trucks full of donations that will be sent to the victims of the Knysna fire.
Caxton Joburg North filled two 4-ton trucks with donations to help people affected by the fires in Knysna.
The trucks, made available by Caxton Newspapers, delivered the donations to the Randburg Mets Baseball Club and were then taken to DHL couriers for distribution in Knysna.
Donations flooded into Caxton following an appeal to the community to donate items for those affected by the fires. SA Express and Caxton have partnered to deliver donations to the area via two flights a day. All the donations will be distributed to various relief centres.
The fires have claimed seven lives, destroyed hundreds of houses, and left hundreds of people homeless.
Caxton will continue to collect donations until 22 June.
