Hyde Park High School staff members and friends have been knitting and crocheting up a storm over the past two months.
They have already completed more than 45 blankets with a target of 67 – culminating with Mandela Day on 18 July.
The blankets will be donated to the Alexandra Neo-Natal Clinic for new mothers in need. They will be packed into a hamper together with knitted jerseys, caps and booties to provide the babies and moms with a meaningful and useful gift.
